Sprout 10 wrap-up

Written by

Another Sprout, another great set of innovative ideas from our team…

Sprout is Odecee’s internal innovation event; a chance for our team to collaborate with new people, in a different environment, and work on their own ideas. At the end of the two-day event, the rest of the team vote on their favourite idea – the winner receives funding to develop their idea into a minimum viable product or MVP.

Sprout 10 took place last week. Fuelled by a bottomless coffee tab, six teams worked tirelessly over the two days (and some into the night) to bring their ideas to life.

The quality of the ideas across the board was excellent, and we can see a ‘life beyond Sprout’ for each and every one.

The winner on the night, though, was Project Chronos – a simple-to-use mobile app that automates a number of the manual tasks associated with timesheet completion. Using their own timesheets as test cases, the Project Chronos team took a 10-minute task and brought in down to a 2-minute task.

Congrats to the Project Chronos team – Craig Collie, Ali Motevallian, Matthieu Siggen and Sanath Kodikara – and thanks to all the teams for their awesome work!

Stay tuned for a full wrap-up of each of the ideas from Sprout 10; in the meantime you can check out some past Sprout ideas here.
